On the first full day of winter meetings there were many different meetings along with many trade rumors. Delmon Young has gained a lot of interest from the Phillies, Giants, and the Rockies. The Giants do not really have much to offer, but the Phillies have one of the better options in Jason Donald who hit .307 with 14 homers and 54 RBI with Double-A, and then the Rockies would have to trade Atkins in order for the deal to go through for the Rockies. Ben Sheets has apparently started talking with the Rangers, the Yankees are going full go after Burnett, C.C. tells Colletti of interest of playing for the Dodgers, and the Mets have offered K-Rod a 3-year deal. What a first day of talks!
