In the last year and a half Clemens has gone from being a lock to be in the Hall and one of the best pitchers to ever play the game, to hitting rock bottom with alleged steroid use throughout his career. The numbers do not lie; he won 354 games, 7 Cy Young awards and two World Series. Now you see Clemens being thought of a steroid user, and even if he did use, how many people were inducted into the Hall of Fame that used steroids that nobody knew about? Clemens had a very steady career in which he had an ERA over 4.50 only once in his 24 year career, while having an ERA under 3.00, 12 times and under 2.00 twice. There are no numbers that jump off of his statistics to suggest he ever used performance enhancing drugs. He is still a Hall of Famer, and it is unfortunate that these allegations are against him.
