A.J. Burnett has been made an offer by the Atlanta Braves. The amount of the contract was not told, but was said to be four years with a very attainable option year. Burnett has said he is unwilling to sign until C.C. signs because he will set the market for starting pitchers. Either way, Burnett will be overpaid for a starter who has pitched 200+ innings only three times in his career, two of which coming in free agent years. When healthy he is one of the better starting pitchers available but that might be the trick, keeping him healthy.
