Rafael Furcal signed a new 3-year deal with the Atlanta Braves with a vesting option for 2012. With Furcal going to the Braves it means that he would most likely being playing second base with Escobar still playing shortstop and this could keep Furcal healthy.
Furcal played for the Braves from 2000-2005 and had .348 on-base percentage while batting .284 and 189 stolen bases during that time. The amount of the contract has not yet been revealed.
